Stormbreaker wouldn’t be such a good action and adventure film without interesting characters. In “Stormbreaker” the plot and the characters take a big chunk out of the movie as most of the dialogue is done by characters, so, you NEED interesting character for an action and adventure movie like Stormbreaker. Evidence for this is in when the movie mentions the backstory of Alex Rider, Alex isn’t just an ordinary boy; Alex is a 14-year-old boy, a black belt in karate, professional in mountaineering and abseiling; a perfect fit for a spy. A quest or goal is something every good action and adventure film needs and “Stormbreaker” isn’t an exception. In the movie “Stormbreaker” the quest is to find out why Darrius is giving computers out to all the major schools and Alex must infiltrate Darrius’s Lair impersonating a computer nerd and find out what’s the catch with the new computers and why he is just giving them away. Without the quest, Stormbreaker wouldn’t be such a good action and adventure film.
Stormbreaker wouldn’t be such a good action and adventure film without the sense of danger. Danger is a necessity of an action and adventure film like Stormbreaker, so without it, Stormbreaker wouldn’t be an action and adventure film. Evidence for this is in the start of the film when it cuts to a chase scene with Ian Rider (Alex’s father) running from the Stormbreaker security. Or in the middle of the film, when the Stormbreaker team find out who Alex rider actually is and battle Jack Starbright (Alex’s guardian). So, danger is always needed in an action and adventure film.
