Within a short time, Stevie lived in every group homes in Southern Illinois. Eventually, he served time in juvenile homes where he was a victim of sexual abuse and beaten up regularly by other children in the facilities (S James, 2002). His elderly step-grandmother Verna, allowed Stevie to move in with her. Verna and Stevie ostracized his mother, Bernice. Stevie 23 years old, married an older woman 15 years his senior. The marriage did not last long due to domestic violence in the relationship. Brenda, his step-sister who lives next door to Stevie assists him with his finances, a monthly disability check. Brenda and her husband live next door to Stevie in their own trailer home (mass media, 2013). Stevie molested Brenda when she was younger, although she doesn’t like to speak about the incident. Currently, Stevie is in a relationship with Tonya Gregory, who is mentally challenged. Stevie is now facing charges of molesting an 8-year-old girl, his cousin’s daughter. Stevie, claims that he is innocent of the charges even though Tonya disagrees and believes Stevie is guilty and will be prosecuted. Teaching Stevie how to acknowledge his problems and identifying goals for himself. Explain to Stevie about the contemplation stage: A victim of sexual abuse, is ok to talk about the anger and the hurt he is expressing negatively. Making an appointment and continue sessions speaking to a social worker or clinician help with his healing (D. Hepworth, R Rooney, G. Rooney, K. Gottfried, 2017).
Key Strengths & Obstacles
Stevie has his sister Brenda who supports him. Tanya who loves Stevie and understands him. The Huber Family who was Stevie’s foster parents when he was younger and who still care about him. Step-Grandma Verna, who allows Stevie live with her and cares for him. Stevie’s only support is his family; he must learn to be able to face the consequences of what he did to his niece and find out how to accept the punishment.
Ethical
