Soundgarden - an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1984, consists of singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. In 1986, Matt Cameron became the full-time drummer of band.

As a continuation of the band's King Animal album in 2012, the Soundgarden band are back with full force to work on their next studio album. The band released a photo of Chris Cornell and Matt Cameron jamming on guitars for a glimpse of their new music.

Chris Cornell stated, "We're already working on new material for an album," Chris Cornell also said, "And then I've got several other irons in the fire and things going that I won't mention now. There's a lot of things coming in addition to Higher Truth, as well as a new Soundgarden album."

Zane Lowe of Beats 1, (a 24/7 radio station broadcast worldwide from Los Angeles) also asked the frontman of Soundgarden if it feels like there's a way the Soundgarden can come back whenever they want.

Chris Cornell answered Zane Lowe, "Yeah, we're already doing that. I guess this is where I started with this conversation was the fact that I can do an album like Higher Truth, and these acoustic tours to support it, and the songwriting that is on it. There's no confusion between that, and what we do in Soundgarden, and how I write with those guys, or by myself for Soundgarden, there's no confusion between the two. You can be a fan of one and not the other, or the other and not the one, or both, and it's OK."

Aside from making new music for Soundgarden, Cornell's also got a solo album called the Higher Truth.

The Higher Truth album of Chris Cornell will be out on September 18, and Cornell will hit the road for another acoustic tour starting September

It is evident that the era of rock and roll greats such as Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin are fading. However, the passionate fans these legends created are still hungry for fist pumping guitar solos and rhythm driving bass drums. This desire for rock in roll in the twenty-first century is being adopted by the most popular radio music format in the United States: the country music industry (Kelly & Hunt 2016). In the words of Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, “Country is the new rock ‘n’ roll. There’s no (radio) format (for rock); no one is playing it” (Ruggieri 2016).…

Charles Manson became a guru after getting out of jail in the latter part of the 1960s, and would tell his followers that they were the reincarnation of the original Christians and that the establishment was playing the part of the Romans. While he did not outright say so, he told these people that he was Christ and had visions of being crucified. The female followers were all impressionable young women who came from middle class families whose parents had divorced. They did whatever he asked them, without question; it helped that they were taking hallucinogenic drugs at the time he was saying all of this.…
