Jess Walter's book entitled “We Live in Water” is very much unlike most books written this day in the sense that it is not one book but rather a collection of thirteen separate, powerful, short stories. In Walter's stories, through relatable characters in stories with hidden connections in often unrelatable ways, he presents themes relating to minorities that are important to all of society. The first of many relatable characters is Wayne “Bit” Bittinger. Bit is a homeless man who at the opening of the story had just recently been kicked out of the catholic shelter he had been staying in due to “drunkenness, fighting, and sacrilege” the former being fictitiously (6).…

Being an addict is certainly more of a challenge than what I expected it to be. Having to conspicuously and consistently hide what you feel like you need on a daily basis is more than difficult. This stimulation was also incredibly tedious to deal with, considering I drink more than the average. Throughout the day, I would have to hide my ice cubes in a hydro flask, and every time I had a drink in my other bottle, I would have to go to the bathroom in the sketchiest of stalls to fill up.…

Snow globes are made of clear glass, a transparent sphere with a scenic view and a plastic toy inside the globe. The sphere likewise encases the water in the globe; the water fills in as the medium through, where the snow falls. The globe must be shaken to actuate the snow so the white particles can fall gradually to reach the base. When the snowflakes/object falls, it experiences two external forces which are; the gravitational force and the aerodynamic (air resistance) drag of the object, which gradually brings the object down.
