Some animals snow leopards prefer are sheep, deer, donkeys, mice, and much more! But, when times are tough and there is competition between food, snow leopards are both prey and predators. Younger cubs (baby snow leopards) are most likely to become prey when there is competition and adult snow leopards can be their predators. In order for the snow leopards to live in their habitat and hunt down their prey, they need adaptations to help them. Snow leopards have different features for different uses. Their long tail is an adaption to their habitat. Since their habitat is steep and rocky, the long tail helps balance themselves. Snow leopards also have gigantic paws. This helps them walk on snow. Another adaption is their hind legs. Their hind legs increases their ability to jump in their steep and rugged habitat. Snow leopards rage to about 1,000 from 1,300 mm in size (from nose to tail). That is equivalent to 39 to 51 inches ( 3 feet to 4 feet). Not only does snow leopards come in different sizes but, they can come with different color fur. It can have light gray, dark gray, and a light yellow. They also have small circles and spots on their fur. Throughout my research on snow leopard, I found out that their habits, their adaptations, and their food
