I think she was best suited to play the role of Reba. Conversely, I wasn't particularly intrigued by the actions of Peachy played by Troy Beckman. There were several stand out actions such as his nuances for mischief that I enjoyed as well as the way he delivered some lines by actions that were specific to his characters- jumping and clapping his hands when he fooled someone- however, some of his other actions fell short. His performance was done well, but his energy was pushed to the background when he stood alongside Lala's dominant vitality whom he shared many scenes…

This movie is one of the best that Penny Marshall has ever directed. The casting was superb. Madonna and Rosie O'Donnell were perfect as street-wise, but loveable May and Doris! Geena Davis did a wonderful job playing Dottie Henson, who had a genuine love for the game, yet had responsibilities and priorities that were more important to her. Dréa Lewis and Kelli Winans played Gladys and Damita, two women that worked with Vivian. As Winans described in the talk back, Damita’s possibilities were endless in life, with Gladys supporting her. It was interesting to see the juxtaposition of a serious scene where Vivian is looking for her son or having an argument with her daughter to a scene where despite the awful things that are happening around them, two characters are continuing to live their lives. Even though horrific things happen, the world continues to turn. It made myself, and I’m sure other audience members, questioning whether or not to laugh.…

She just made me cringe in every of the scenes she was featured in. Her acting was trash and had no effort put in her role and the movie would have done better without her. The mother-Cindy Green did a much better job of acting and played her role well. Also, Mrs. Crudstaff and Uncle Bub did a decent job of acting and slightly tipped the movie in my favor. The plot of this movie is extremely ridiculous; a kid growing from a garden?…
