Silver Dollar City Silver Dollar City is one of the biggest parks in the region. Silver Dollar City is known for all of its high-speed coasters. The park opened in 1960. The first ride in the park was a massive hit. Christmas time at Silver Dollar City is such a great time to experience. Silver Dollar City is one of the largest parks in the region. It is known for all of its high-speed rollercoasters. Silver Dollar City is known for their funnel cakes, together with their fun shows. Silver Dollar City opened in 1960. This has been a great hit ever since. The park was modeled after an 1880s Ozark Village. No rides are available at the time of the park opening. This train ride opened in 1962. It remains the same today as it did then. The train ride is about a 20 minute ride around the park. Some no good robbers always seem to roam around in the woods. The conductor strives to continue to save passengers for 50 years and counting. Outlaw Run is the world's most daring wooden coaster. It includes the world's first and only double barrel roll on a wooden coaster. Silver Dollar City's water ride, called “Mystic River Falls” has a 45 foot drop at the end and it is sure to leave you soaked. Christmas time Christmas time in Silver Dollar City is such an amazing experience. There are over five million lights. There are also over 1,000 decorated Christmas trees throughout the park. Silver Dollar City also holds a Jolly Christmas Light Parade featuring Rouldough, The Red-Nosed Reindeer and others. Silver Dollar City has dozens of stores open for holiday shopping. With all this excitement about Christmas, they are not open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Silver Dollar City is such a fun experience! If you have time to go, I recommend you give it a try.
