Mrs Jones catches Rodger trying to steal her purse but instead of calling the cops

she takes Rodger home with her feeds him and helps him clean up. Although Rodger

tried to steal from her she saw past that and saw the good in him and realized that she

could help him be better and help him not make the same mistake again. She could tell

that Rodger was not going down the right path so she helps him an shows him the right

things to do and becomes a good roll model for Rodger. Dickinson illustrates in her

poem that it is the small things that you do for someone that can impacted

their life in a big
