Research Paper On Robin Hood

Ancient Egypt is famous for the Great Pyramids but this Pyramid was primarily built by the lowest people on the social hierarchy, Slaves. Slaves were treated unfairly and in ancient Egypt there was no social mobility which meant a person born into slavery will die as a slave. Hundreds of years later the Roman Empire collapsed which later lead to the development of feudal societies in Western Europe. Feudal societies similar to ancient Egypt had an unfair social hierarchy. Instead of slaves, it was serfs and peasants. Serfs and peasants had to work in fields to supply the whole manor with food, they received no pay and had to work a lot. While the higher classes could become corrupt and gain more wealth leaving the poor more poor. This is where the inspirational legend came, his name is Robin Hood. Robin Hood was a legend who lived in a forest called Sherwood Forest. In this forest he lived with a group of outlaws called the Merry Men. In modern day Robin Hood is portrayed as a fictional character who lives in a forest and has a bow and arrow but during the Middle Ages he was an inspirational legend. Robin Hood was important to serfs and peasants so they can fight any injustice that they encountered. Even today many organizations base themselves of Robin Hood but during the Middle Ages they needed Robin Hood to inspire them to fight against the unfair feudal where they are the lowest class and as time passed on the Catholic Church became powerful and corrupt and when they lost their power serfs and peasants formed rebellions using Robin Hood or Wat Tyler to rebel against upper
