Riding a skateboard can be extremely daunting. For most people, if they attempt to step foot on one, their face will connect with the ground almost instantaneously. Riding a skateboard is not easy.Once you find your balance, however, you have unlocked your way into the fun world of skating.Finding your balance is not an easy task however. You may need to position your board by a pole, and hang on to the pole so you do not fall over and give yourself a concussion. Doing this may be best achieved in a grassy area, so your wheels do not roll, and falling will not hurt as much. Once you can stand on the board with both feet, you are ready to roll. If you are not already on a flat smooth surface, it's time to get on one. Once you are on sufficient ground, find a pole, balance yourself, and simply push off the pole. It will take a little bit of time to get the hang of pushing off a pole and not falling off the board. As soon as you have achieved this, you are ready to learn to position your feet. On a skateboard, there are two sets of screws. They keep the trucks connected to the board. They are also fantastic for foot placement for beginners. You will want to find which foot you push off with, and your foot that leads. Try hanging on to the pole if necessary, and use your left foot to push, since most people …show more content…
Getting the basics down is vastly harder than people realise. Once you have mastered the basics, you will be ready to learn how to do tricks, and skating on ramps. A fair warning, however, advancement from here on out is incredibly more difficult, and much more dangerous. Falling and getting hurt is a part of skating. Bearing this in mind, skating can be one of the most fun outdoor activities out there!
