I find Pete Conrad interesting because he was an “adrenaline junkie”. He took flying lessons at 15 years old and when he was 16, he flew alone for the first time. On his journey to the moon, he broke the record for longest manned space flight. They experienced malfunctions in machinery and uncomfortable environments for eight days. NASA almost canceled the mission. It was all worth it in the end because Pete Conrad was the third human to walk on the moon.
