Two women who were shot during a party in Penal on Sunday morning have been discharged from hospital. However, police are yet to find the gunmen who was identified as a 35-year-old fishermen from the Morne Diablo community.
Reports are that the women, Jenelle Bernard, 27, Neisha Dhanraj 21 and her brother Glenn Dhanraj were partying at Magarita’s Bar along Quarry Road, Morne Diablo. Police said that around 3.25 am, Glenn and the suspect had an argument in the road. The suspect pulled out a gun and fired several shots into a crowd, hitting Bernard and Neisha before running off.
Partygoers scampered for safety but eventually returned and assisted the women to the Siparia District Health Facility. They were later transferred to the San Fernando
