Paclitaxel (PTX), a polymeric nanomaterial, is one of the most extensively used anticancer cytotoxic substance that has been accepted to be used for treatment of many cancerous diseases. The cytotoxic part of PTX comes from the intervention in microtubule function. Once the microtubules are destabilized, it leads to a series of depolymerization, a cell cycle M-phase interruption, and a cell death.

Etopside (ETP), also a polymeric nanomaterial, is another anticancer substance. Compared to the PTX, ETP destroys the cancer cells by maintaining a covalent enzyme DNA, which is a critical part of the catalytic cycle of toposimoerase II. Where DNA strand breaks as a result of a build-up of a cleaved enzyme, and leads towards mutagenesis, translocation
