The most significant event developed in Nelson Mandela’s life story is when he was taken out of prison on 1990 and in 1994 he was elected president.

“But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.” This is a quote that was taken directly from Nelson Mandela when he was in court. This is used to create emotion and show that Nelson Mandela actually cares about the cause and that he will go all the way to see it succeed. This quote included in the text made it seem more alive and i do believe it succeed in creating emotion.
“As a black political prisoner, he received scantier rations and fewer privileges than other inmates” This is a description of how Nelson lived in the prison and how he was treated. It creates emotion with descriptive language and is successful in doing so, it creates a feeling of sorrow for the readers because of Nelson Position
“Despite his forced retreat from the spotlight, Mandela remained the symbolic leader of the antiapartheid movement.” This is said to describe how the ANC can continue fighting even though their leader was taken away. This makes the ANC look strong and in the text is successful at doing

Unfortunately this also makes the biography seem boring or long other then entertaining and brief.

Without Knowing the full background to the story, what kinds of ethical issues had to considered in the production of this story? How ethical does the treatment of the subject seem to you?

Well considering who the story is about the writers had to make to clear they were not supporting either side but still emphasising suffering and pain that the subject went through. The also had to consider how they are going to make the person look to the public, so that people would know how to see them as a person. In this story they did consider the different opinions of people but ultimately agreed to the one that showed equality and heroism, which is shown by the ANC.

I am going to give this biography 4 out of 5 mainly because the story failed to entertain and keep the reader interested, It also failed to bring out the true heroism of this story but it did provide accurate description of Nelson Mandelas life and
