Nancy Finton tells the story of her sexual assault. This podcast really resonated with me as it expressed every woman's worst fear. Her experience was scarily relatable as Nancy addressed rape from her perspective before and after her attack. Like most women, myself included, she envisioned a scenario in which she would be attacked by a focused man fueled by violence and rage, who she would ultimately be able to fight off. When she was actually assaulted, the man was "chaotic" and "desperate" and in an attempt to calm him, she began to comfort him.
