Chocolate is always in high demands around the world ; with only a select amount of countries who can provide it. Côte d’Ivoire provides 38% of the worlds' cocoa beans because they have the right environment for them. Even though they get a ton of business the effects of chocolate to Côte d’Ivoire is devastating. I believe chocolate is bad for Côte d’Ivoire because it's causing deforestation , child labor and unfair pay.

Cocoa is causing deforestation in the environment of Côte d’Ivoire. A "significant portion of the Ivory Coast's protected forests have been chopped down over the past few years to make room for illegal cocoa farming" , leaving 74% of the protected forest area ruined for cocoa farming.
