Research Paper On Miracles Of Jesus

Improved Essays
Thank you Maria for your definitions and your choice of scriptures. Your scripture has a lot to do with the reason why He did miracles because He had to do what the Father has commanded Him to do. Jesus did many miracles that were so compelling that John had to introduce as "signs." These signs were meant to reveal the truth in who Jesus is, and the purpose of His supernatural power.

Jealousy comes when one's focus is taken off God and put upon the world. Hebrews 13:4 states “but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” God's Word also states in I Corinthians 3:17 “if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.” The purity of mankind should be maintained, therefore the jealous husband was to bring her before the priest who would carry out all the law. Devils love the destruction of relations between a man and his wife.…

I learned a great deal about the nature of my faith from this semester due to my study of the Gospel of John. The stories in the gospel are so important for modern Christianity because the obstacles to a strong faith were generally the same in the time of Jesus as they are now. The most evident issue to me is the need for people to see the work of God with their own eyes. Therefore, their faith is contingent upon them being able to see the works of God which defeats the whole purpose of Faith. There are two books within the Gospel of John that display this issue and many others.…

Jesus used unconventional psychological methods to perform certain healings, without the use of medicine. The Seminar concluded that Jesus did not perform miracles, such as the feeding of the 5000, walking on water, or raising people from the dead. They claimed that Jesus was arrested in Jerusalem then crucified by the Romans. Another conclusion was that Jesus was killed for being a public distraction, not for his blasphemous statements. Jesus’ body did not rise from the dead and Paul, Peter, and Mary Magdalene, who were likely hallucinating during this traumatic period of their lives, falsely documented his resurrection (Funk).…

There is plenty of evidence in the Bible of Jesus' nature as both fully human and fully divine. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, Jesus is confirmed to be human because of his display of human emotions, his human birth and death and also his human needs and form. Jesus is confirmed to be divine because of his title of Lord and the fact that he is the son of God. His conception within the Virgin Mary also confirmed his divinity. The Nicene Creed also mentions Jesus as the son of God and as Lord, confirming his divinity.…

The Gospel of John’s author compiled a “Book of Signs” because John viewed the miracles that Jesus performed as a sign (Harris, 2014). Also, our textbook states that these signs provide evidence that John's hero has unearthly powers. A significant example of the signs was the conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. She thinks that Jesus is a prophet and takes it upon herself to learn all she can from him.…

In this essay, I will be talking about what I believe to be true from what Jesus tells us in the Bible, about being the Son of God and how He was here to die on the cross for our sins, showing everyone who He was and who ever believe in Him is save, or healed if they were sick. In this paper, I will be talking about the trustworthiness and historicity of the Gospels. The historical reliability of the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles, and did Jesus claim to be God. Did his disciples believe he was God? The accuracy of the resurrection accounts in the Gospels, that is, did Jesus rise bodily from the dead?…

The Gospel of John is one of the four Gospels written to tell the story of Jesus’ life. Just as Matthew, Mark, and Luke have given their accounts of Jesus’ miracles so has John. Though these accounts may have their own way of telling what is important to them, the main fact is that these Gospels were recorded so that we may learn more of the word of God. “In order to understand John’s approach to the story of Jesus, the reader must recognize the centrality of the incarnation of the Gospel” (NIB 1905). The book of John begins, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1).…

INTRODUCTION God is not the author of confusion, the Bible is clear in revealing not only the reality of miraculous events in the Book of Acts but also their purpose. One of the main purposes of the miracles in the Book of Acts was to create a platform for preaching and evangelism for the Apostles. The miracles in the book of Acts were not for the direct benefit of those performing the miracles or for material purposes. They were for the purpose of authenticating the message about Jesus. GENUINE MIRACLES Miracles are seals of a divine mission.…
