Milton Friedman was born on July 31, 1912 Brooklyn New York. He was the youngest of four sisters and the only boy. When he was young, his mother ran a small store in a small town 20 miles outside of New York. His father could not keep a job for long so the family had a very little amount of money to spend. Milton when to public and secondary school but he graduated from Rahway high school in 1928. He father died during his senior year so his mother and two older sister had to bring in income. He did take advantage of it by going to college he had a scholarship to go to Rutgers
