Memory Dog Memory Dog is a non- profit organization that aims to train therapy dogs to accompany persons that are suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s and other ailments that are associated with a decline in mental ability. With this in mind, they provide companion dogs to clients that are both in private and nursing homes and train them to incorporate dogs in the daily activities of the patient. However, Memory Dog operates mostly based on donations handed to them, henceforth; they fall short when it comes to funding (MemoryDog.org, 2016).
