In my opinion I think Bob Uecker is very deserving of the NAB hall of fame award. Bob Uecker has done a lot in his career to be awarded this award. Uecker was a retired player who returned to the Milwaukee Brewer's radio broadcasts position in 1971 and still until this day. For several years Uecker served for a color commentator for major networks like ABC in the early 1970s and NBC in the late 1990s. During that time of being on ABC he was help calling games and Uecker also did commentating for League Championship Series and World Series.…

Within the book Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand, focuses on the life of Louie Zamperini. The first six chapters revolve around the upbringing of Louie. It describes him as a very rebellious young man who did not know when to stop. Louie’s life is very different from that of my own not only because of the upbringing that he went through by having a poor family but also in the ways that we both act. While Louie can be described as rebellious and defiant, my own life can be described completely differently.…

Unbroken is more than just something you pick up and read because you’re bored. This story is something so different than the stories I’ve read before, and not just because it was based on a true story. Whilst I was reading this story, I started to realize some things that I haven’t realized before. What Louis Zamperini went through during his lifetime is something not many people would be able to survive through, his story was hard to read in a very emotional sense in which I’ve never really experienced before. This man was more than just a hero, he was a true legend.…

Louis went from riches to living in someone else small apartment to help pay rent. He once thought not too highly of working class or poor people but with the help of Ophelia guiding the way he saw that a lot of people could not help the situations that they were in. Granted, this is a movie and in movie world anything is possible, but no one can overlook the fact that Billy Ray and Louis swapped placed in a matter of a day it seemed. No one could erase basically everything Louis has from his riches to anything else. Things like that do not happen in the real world.…
Thinking that they are about to be beheaded, both men initially refuse to kneel, but Phil eventually does (Jolie, Unbroken). Louie, on the other hand refuses until a soldier hits him in the leg with the end of his gun, toppling Louie to his knees (Jolie, Unbroken). This simple act of defying what he was told to do also shows Louie’s determination to never give in, no matter what. Another way in which Louie shows determination is while he lifts the beam. Before the moment where Louie raises it high above his head, he struggled to hold it at the level of his head, clearly fatigued and weak (Jolie, Unbroken).…
