Leoardo Da Vinci was a painter, architect, inventor, and a scientific student. Studies shows that he was called the “Rennaissance Man”. He was born near the Tuscan town in Vinci in Anchiano, Italy on April 15, 1452. Da Vinci was also the son of a local lawyer. He died May 2, 1519 due to a unexpectewd stroke. Leonardo Da Vinci grew up with 12 siblings, 10 brothers and two sisters. Leonardo Da Vinci was “apprenticed” to the sculptor and painter, Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence. In 1478 he became a “Independent Master”. About five years later, he then moved to Milan. That’s where he worked for a ruling family named “Sfroza”. He worked for the well known family as an engineer. He also worked many other jobs such as an sculptor, paintor, and architect. He produced a amural of the “Last Supper” in the refectory of the Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan. This time period took from 1495 to 1497, so it took a total of two years. …show more content…
Milan was ivaded by the French in 1499. This forced the Sforza family to move out of the city and find elsewhere to live. He lived in venice for a short period of time befoere he returned back to Florence. While living in Venice though, he painted multiple multiple portraits. His most famous and well known painting is the “Mona Lisa”. Leonardo da Vinci soon returned back to Milan in 1506 and he stayed there until 1513. This was follwed up by being based in Rome for three years. He received an invitation in 1517. The invitation was of the French King Francis I, then Leonardo moved to the Chateau of Cloux which is close to the Amboise in France. This is also where he died on May 2,
