In 1953 when she was 57 she flew to France for the march on Washington. Josephine baker always has traveled the country "in other words ran away" like France and pairs.When Josephine was a child she was burned out of her home and ran away to a place called France. France, was like a dreamland.She was also kn-owned for her flamboyant dressing when she preformed.she created unique outfits like the banana skirt.
