Mengele Essay

Josef Mengele. “Angel of Death” they called him. A Nazi Medical Expert who experimented on the prisoners at the Nazi Death Camp of Auschwitz. We can say that he most likely had a screw loose as , being drafted in, did this willingly. He called these acts of torture “Medical Experiments.” But we're not here to talk about that right now. We're here to talk about Mengele himself. His experiments can wait for a different essay. On March 16, 1911, Mengele was born. From then on he existed as a rich popular kid. He later graduated college with a PhD in Anthropology. After that he went to work as a Medical Expert at the Race and Settlement Office. A little later, somewhere in June of 1940, Mengele got drafted into war. This is where he volunteered to be in the SS Medical Services. Also known as Waffen.

So he went to work at Auschwitz. This isn’t an actual quote from him but I’m pretty sure he said “this is where the fun begins” when he got there. This is where he started his Medical Experiments but, since I already told you about those, I’m going to write about something else. Near the end of the Second World War, it was decided that all new children were to be sent to the oven or fire pit to save on gas. How gruesome. Speaking of children, Mengele loved child selection duty. This is where the Nazis would select which kids get to live. He would even step in for some of the other Medical Officers.
Eventually Mengele was caught after the war. Just kidding, he got away by using fake identities in different countries. Eventually, like all living things, he died. How? Not in a very climactic way. He had a stroke while swimming and drowned. Yeah, he didn’t get caught by anything except Karma I guess if you believe in that.
