Conspiracies rose to question as well as political motives and theories. Answers were wanted and a commission was established by Lyndon Johnson to investigate Kennedy’s death. The commission was lead by Chief Justice Earl Warren. Kennedy's case was reviewed by many such as the Secret Service, FBI, Department of State and also the attorney general of Texas. Reports were given to the commission by them and also investigated the crime scene. Oswalds personal background information was brought in as well as his military records. There had been three possible major conspirators believed to be connected to Oswald. In 1959, he absconded from the U.S. to the Soviet Union and stayed there for nearly two and a half years before making his way back. Less than two months before the assassination, someone in Mexico city was using Oswald's identity and had met a Soviet diplomat presumed by the CIA. It is possible that Oswald could have been working as a Soviet agent and take part in a communist conspiracy to assassinate Kennedy. The man identifying himself as Lee Oswald attempted in acquiring a visa to visit Cuba. Just earlier on in New Orleans, Oswald had built up a reputation as a supporter of Fidel Castro. Oswald could have been directed by Castro's administration as well as the Soviet Union. It seems though that Oswald's pro-Castro stir was not so verifiable in New Orleans. His political associates were strongly anti-Castro and he was apart of his own branch of pro-Castro consisted of only of himself. The anti-Castro may have been angered at Kennedy for not as much as necessary to displace Castro and may have led them taking matters into their own
