According to the United Nations there are 27 million Internationally Displaced Persons. Iran has topped the list of refugee- hosting countries with 8,50,000 Afghan refugees and 32,000 Iraqi refugees.

Many refugee students even get a chance to attend various refugee schools. Iran is helping various refugees through NGO's like Association for Protection of Refugee Women and Children , Chain Of Hope and World Relief Foundation.The Government of Islamic Republic Of Iran plays an active role in the Solutions Strategy for Afghan Refugees
