Who was stravinsky?
Igor Stravinsky was a talented Russian composer. He was born in Lomonosov, Russia on June 17th, 1882 and died in New York city, New York, on April 6th, 1971. Some of his most known pieces are Firebird, Petrushka, and The Rite of Spring. Stravinsky is most known for playing piano, but he also played other instruments. Stravinsky was raised in a household of musicians and had a very good influence to be one.
My third favorite piece My third favorite piece by Stravinsky is movement 3 of “Three Pieces for String Quartet” and it is called “Cantique”. In English cantique means canticle, which is like a hymn or chant with biblical text included. The key signature of this piece is C major. The main articulation is legato. The key signature of this piece is C major. The main articulation is legato. The tempo is largo. The dynamics include mezzo piano and some crescendos. If this piece were a color I think it would be bright yellow. To me this piece feels grand and mysterious. I liked this piece because it felt like something from a scary movie. This piece was written because he wanted to write another piece for wind instruments because four years earlier he wrote Symphonies of Wind Instruments.

The tempo is andante. The dynamics include fortissimo. If this piece were a color I think it would be bright red because it feels exciting. To me this piece feels extravagant and smooth.
