“Heeeeeeeey Manichaean” Within the Manichaean belief, the world that exists around humanity is composed from both the Light and the Darkness, both of which stuck in a battle of domination, called ‘seasons’ (Plese, 2). The world is currently experiencing the third season within the Present (Middle) Age, the Age of Mixture. This age is the same age in which all the plants and animals of this world were created by the rulers of darkness, as well as the creation of man from the light and darkness. This belief system, while sounding similar to Gnosticism, has some key differences within it, especially when it comes to how the world is portrayed. Instead of the negative view that everything in this world is consumed by darkness
