Many people come across the word “heart failure” and automatically become scared or anxious at the idea of their heart no longer being useful. The truth is, although it is definitely something to stay aware of, heart failure only means that your heart has encountered a difficulty when it comes to pumping blood normally. There are multiple forms of heart failure some which are included are, left side failure, right side failure, diastolic failure systolic failure and congestive failure.
Left Side Failure
Left side failure is exactly what its title labels; it is when the left side of your heart fails. This form of failure is one of the most common and most likely one of the most dangerous. It’s what occurs when the main vein that infuses the rich blood into all of the other organs, gets blocked and prevents it from doing so. The backed up blood eventually traces back to the lung creating built up fluids that can cause problems to become a lot more serious. Once the left side of the heart stops functioning properly, the body naturally puts all the pressure on the good side. Too much pressure can eventually tire out that “good side” meaning soon enough, you will have a complete incorrectly functioning heart. Think of it as the two legs that you use to peddle while riding a bike. At first you start with both legs. However, at some point, one of them gets tired and so you begin doing a lot more of the pedaling with your other leg. The problem is, it’s not long before that leg also becomes tired from all the work. You now are left with two worked out legs that are unable to pedal and also the thought of the matter is that you should probably work out more often.
