Paragraph #2- Family/Relatives
Hades has many very interesting relatives and desires. His mother Rhea, and father Cronus had six children, so it was a big family. Hades is the oldest male out of his two brothers, Poseidon and Zeus. Hades is the ruler of the Underworld and precious metals and stones. For example, Poseidon, the second oldest, is the ruler of water such as oceans, lakes and rivers. Zeus has the ability to throw lightning bolts and is the only one who can ride the winged horse Pegasus. Speaking of Zeus, he had a daughter named Persephone and captured her. When Hades was born he was swallowed by his father Cronus, with the fear of being overthrown by one of his children. Many years later, Zeus came back home to his father and mother. He told his father that if he didn't throw them up that he would kill him so Hades, Poseidon and their sisters and came out. Zeus, being in love with women, he chose to be God of the Heavens and the sky. Poseidon became the God of Seas and Horses. Lastly, Hades became God of the Underworld. Once everyone was out they killed Cronus for being selfish. Basically, Hades had a very short history but a very cool story to
