The second amendment should not be a part of the constitution. Gun control laws are connected to the 2nd amendment which states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” ("Index Page - The U.S. Constitution Online." The person who died after this tragic event’s name was Paul Lee a 19 year old student at the university. “Paul often liked to help his friends through their problems, the family said. He planned to major in psychology at Seattle Pacific University to help others struggling with life issues.” (Everton Bailey Jr. | The Oregonian/OregonLive. It's not fair that his life was taken away so quickly, it's not fair that he couldn’t finish college, it's not fair he could not have a family of his own. All of the people who have lost their lives to guns did not deserve it, and had their future taken from them. After hearing of all the negative effects that Gun Control laws have had on this country and the individuals of this country could easily be prevented in the next couple of years by enforcing more laws and making them stronger. For example not just checking for one's criminal records, but as well checking their mental health and checking even their family background to ensure the use of the guns used in a safe manner. To help do this you can send a letter to your local congressman, sign a petition or you could help spread the word of this problem, or even send love and support to the loved ones of the lives lost in the
