Gout is caused by excess uric acid in the joints as a result of accumulation or inefficient elimination.
Uric acid is a byproduct of purines.
While increased uric acid levels – hyperuricemia – in the blood is common in gout cases, it doesn’t mean that individuals with hyperuricemia will certainly develop gout.
When kidneys fail to get rid of the uric acid, it ends up crystallizing and accumulating in the joints, resulting in inflammation.
Fortunately, there are a number of natural remedies that can help you flush out the uric acid and improve the condition. The most significant step to take is changing your diet as well as your lifestyle.
You need to consume plenty of vegetables and fruits, lean meat, whole grains, and seafood. Likewise, reduce the intake of alcohol, foods with saturated fat, and processed sugars like fructose corn syrup.

The development of Zurampic®(Lesinurad), a first selective uric acid resorption inhibitor to treat gout Summary: Gout is the most common inflammatory arthropathy in the western world, which is caused by the excess accumulation of uric acid in the blood instead of normally excreting by kidney. Millions of people suffer from this kind of arthritis with an attack of sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint(usually a big toe). In addition, gout is indicated by excessively high levels of uric acid, which is referred to as hyperuricemia in an individual. The primary cause of hyperuricemia is underexcretion of the kidneys (Buttaro, Trybulski, Bailey, & Sandberg-Cook, 2013). Although not the sole indicator, hyperuricemia is a good indication of gout disease. However, not all individuals who have hyperuricemia will develop gout. In order to diagnose gout disease, the urate levels in the serum must be 7 mg/dL for men and 6 mg/dL for women, which are subsequently used as an indicator of gout disease or a risk factor for developing gout disease in the patient (De Miguel et al., 2012).…
