A desert is an area of the world that is extremely dry. There is not much rain in the desert and officially a desert is an area that get less than 10 inches of precipitation a year. Deserts do not have to be hot, some of the world’s largest deserts are cold which are located at one of the Earth’s pole or in the cold areas of the world.
The Hadley cells process is when a large scale atmospheric convection cell where air rises at the equator and sinks at medium latitude, about 30 degrees north or south. There are 3 steps to the Hadley cells process. The first step is warm air rises this means that hot temperatures around the equator cause the air to heat up and rise. The 2nd is when the warm air is condensed and clouds are form and it starts

It covers parts of north and north-west China, and the south of Mongolia. the Gobi Desert is a rain shadow desert which is by the Tibetan Plateau blocking precipitation from the Indian Ocean reaching the Gobi area. This desert is over 1,600 km from southwest to northeast and is 800 km from north to south. This desert is the widest in the west. The Gobi is a cold desert with frost and sometimes there is snow on its dunes. Most of the people living in the Gobi Desert are Mongolians, but the population of Han Chinese in inner Mongolia have been regularly growing since 1950s. With the cruel environment of the Gobi preventing most forms of living in the desert, nomadic cattle gathering is the major job for people living there. This area is one of the few places that can keep its culture and traditions from ancient history. Due to the climate anyone who lives in the Gobi must remain close to animal herds. The people who live there must also stay nomadic because searching for water when water from the location run out (water is their way of surviving in this area) means that forms of shelter use in the desert are very limited. Usually they are nomadic people, Mongolians that live in the Gobi live for visitors and will show as much kindness as they
