Enslaved African Americans Enslaved African Americans did not have the best life because of the white wealthy men. African Americans were treated poorly and had no rights which was unfair seeing as they did all the work in order for the men to get their money. The Declaration of Independence says “all men are created equal”, but that was a lie because if all men were created equal then African American men would be allowed to participate in the Constitution. The Constitution was only for wealthy white men, but that was unfair on so many levels becuase they did no work we did and them making money has nothing to do with them. They made us work from morning till dark, they tortured us, and seperated us from our familes. The wealthy people
