I am researching the emperor Majorian. His full name is Julius Valerius Maiorianus, which is Latin. He ruled during the historical period of the Western Empire which was from 394 to 476. He reigned as Roman Emperor from April 457 to August 2, 461. Majorian was a successful general who claimed victory over the Franks and the Vandals. He was named Emperor of the Western Roman Empire on December 28, 457. He died on August 7, 461 in Rome. (tribunesandtriumphs.org)
