Research Paper On E-Coli

Decent Essays
E-Coli is a type of bacteria. There are many types of E-Coli, and most of them are harmless. But some could be very dangerous to humans that could lead up to death. This bacteria is mostly found in human and animal intestines.
In 1999, about 73,000 people in the U.S. got sick each year from this bacteria and about 60 died. This isn't a big number of deaths but it´s a big number of people who got sick. If infected, most people get better within a few days. Although, some can get very sick and their body system can stop functioning and die
E-coli was discovered in 1885 by a Garman bacteriologist. Since then, E-coli has been commonly used for biological lab experiment and research. E-coli is two microns in length and one micron wide. It is a rod
