The safety of people is one of the most important things in the world. With driverless cars the safety of every person would be greatly increased. For every person killed in a motor-vehicle accident, 8 are hospitalized and 100 are treated and released from emergency rooms. The annual cost of roadway crashes to the US economy in 2012 was reported to 212 billion. Driverless cars could help reduce crashes by 90 percent and would have potentially saved about 190 billion in 2012. In theory, driverless cars would be able to communicate with each other and communicate with street lights and signs, to receive information about upcoming changes.
