Dr Seuss is one of the most famous children's book author. He is a well known author from all around the word. He was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, MA and Died September 24, 1991, in La Jolla, CA. Dr. Seuss's actual name is Theodor Seuss Geisel, he added the Dr in front of his name because his father, Theodor Robert Geisel wanted Seuss to become a doctor. There are a couple of nicknames for Theodor Seuss Geisel, some are Dr. seuss, Geisel, Ted Geisel, the Kaiser,etc. As a kid seuss was a Scout, he worked to sell U.S. War Bonds, he sold so many that he was supposed to receive an award, along with 10 other boys, from President Theodore Roosevelt, but he was later told on stage that he was not supposed to be there.
