Most of the people that I know in my life, chew some sort of gum. Everyone at school usually ask for gum or are already chewing it. Gum is a phenomenon that has been happening for years now. Even back in the 1950’s and 60’s people chewed gum for candy purposes, but now more people are chewing it for multiple reasons. Some chew gum to freshen their breath or do it out of habit. Others might use it to help from being hungry. Gum is cheap these days and usually people have the dollar or so to spare on it. While people may love chewing gum, gum also has gotten a bad rep.

Gum has gotten criticism from people smacking their gum and or blowing bubbles that can pop really loudly. The grossest of them all is when people stick their chewed up,
