Cheryl Krueger: An Entrepreneurial Woman
The morning of December 2, 1943 will be a date to change the modern cookie sales world would be forever changed in the near future (Mooseroots.com). Cheryl Krueger has influenced the state of Ohio and the world of baking with her famous “Cheryl’s Cookies” changed to “Cheryl and Co.” She has been baking with her beloved grandmother since age six and has known how to bake a variety of goods since age ten (City Scene Columbus). From the early years of her life, to the prime and pitfall of “Cheryl’s Cookies”, to the rest of her life, Cheryl Krueger is a phenomenal entrepreneur and woman.

In 2012 her son involved her in the startup of a hangover cure drink. Now, she is the president of “Life Support” and says the drink targets anyone from ages 21 to 60. This company is just as successful as her previous (City Scene Columbus)! In her interview with “City Scene Columbus, she reminisced of her college days. “The Bowling Green State University graduate started taking business classes in the 1970s, and recalls being the only woman in many of her classes” (City Scene Columbus),. The fact she kept attending classes despite being a minority proves her perseverance and determination for life. According to Metropreneur, Cheryl Krueger has also founded “KRUEGER + CO Consulting Incorporated” which helps to organize different aspects of a business including but not limited to finance and marketing. In an interview with Metropreneur was asked a question about what makes someone a good leader. Her response was, “I think there are many qualities necessary to become an effective leader, but if I had to choose one quality it would be “vision.” Great leaders have vision, the ability to see the invisible and do the impossible. Some recent great visionaries are Les Wexner− Victoria’s Secret, Steve Jobs− Apple, and Howard Schultz− Starbucks.
