Research Paper On Catfishing

The topic I chose for my curiosity project was Catfishing. Catfishing is posing online using someone else’s pictures, and even name to lure someone into forming an online relationship. According to Kashmir Hill, an author for Forbes Magazine, states that “The term was coined by a filmmaker named Nev Schulman as the title for his documentary about falling in love with a Facebook hottie who turned out not to be the person she claimed to be online” (Hill). Catfishing is fraudulent behavior that should not be tolerated by social media sites. To support my thesis I will examine three media artifacts that I believe are good examples to explain this. The first media artifact that I will use is media law in the case of whether Catfishing qualifies
