What is cannabis?
Cannabis also known as marijuana is a tall plant with a stiff upright stem divided with jagged up leaves. Cannabis is used to produce hemp fibre and also used as a psychotropic drug which affects your mental behavior activity and your mood. Cannabis is often used in cigarettes illegally. Cannabis is under the category depressant drug, which means your body takes much longer to send messages and alerts to your brain. When a large amount of cannabis is taken it can produce hallucinogenic effects. Cannabis can also be known as Marijuana, yarndi, pot, weed, hash, dope, gunja, joint, stick, Kronic (synthetic form), cone, choof.
The origins of cannabis
Cannabis comes from the Chinese emperor shen nung in 2727 B.C ancient Greeks and romans were also familiar with cannabis. In 1545 cannabis spreaded to the western hemisphere.

Smoking can damage your lungs and the long term affects are asthma, bronchitis, cancer and can result in to a severe throat problem. It can affect your hormones. The affects can be damaging your hormone reproduction system, lower sex drive/ Research shows that some cannabis users have a lowered sex drive, and also it can lower your sperm count. There is some concern that cannabis smoking may impair the functioning of the immune system. Cannabis use, especially heavy and regular use, may be linked to a condition known as a “drug-induced psychosis”, or “cannabis psychosis”. There is some evidence that regular cannabis use increases the likelihood of psychotic symptoms in people who are already vulnerable due to a personal or family history of mental illness. Cannabis also appears to make psychotic symptoms worse for people with schizophrenia, and using cannabis can lower the chances of recovery from a psychotic
