Some people may not agree with me, but I think Bethany Hamilton is a very courageous person. I think she courageous for these three reasons: She lost her arm and still surfs, she is having a baby with one arm, and she is not afraid to get back in the water. Who is your favorite courageous person? One reason I think Bethany hamilton is courageous is because she lost her arm and can still surf. I think she is quite courageous if she still surfs. Bethany learned how to surf again with one arm. Her father made a special surfboard for her. Just one month after the attack, she miraculously returned to surfing. Bethany is now six months pregnant. She states that she will still be able to take care of a baby with one arm. It will be difficult for Bethany to handle a baby, but she can do it! She is psyched about her first child. Bethany is also courageous because she continues to surf even though she is pregnant. …show more content…
Most people would never go back in the ocean after that incident. At first, Bethany was probably reluctant to get back in the water. Then, she fought her fear, and surfed again. Once Bethany learned to surf again she won multiple surfing competitions. Now you can see why Bethany hamilton is a courageous person.
