Bearberry or its scientific term Arctostaphylos uva-ursi is a plant that grows close to the ground and is usually found in more dry ground areas like sand or soil. The bearberry has silky hairs to help keep it warm, it also has leathery leaves from living in the tundra. Bearberry is very usefull because you can use every part of it for something for example the fruit can either be eaten or used in various cooking recipes. Caribou moss or Cladonia rangiferina is another type of moss that grows around the northern regions of the world.
