Babysitting has made me feel more mature and responsible. I started babysitting when I turned 12 year's old, but I had experienced babysitting long before that. I would go with my sister when she would babysit and I would watch. I have learned lots of things from her.
By the time I was 10, I was bugging my mom about being able to babysit. She would always say no and it made me upset. I would annoy her about it so often that sometimes I would get sent to my room. By 11, I was convinced I was old enough to babysit. My mom still thought otherwise. So when I was 12, I started getting invitations to babysit, but my mom was still hesitant. My mom's friends kept asking and asking and my mom finally gave in.
