Preaching to the Angels “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view…until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.” This is famous quote from Atticus Finch has been proven true many a time. No one can ever really understand what someone goes through unless they experience it for themselves. Teachers, for example, go through a great deal of trouble sometimes, but most people wouldn’t be able to see that unless they stood in that teacher’s shoes. They have a vast impact on their student’s lives, but one thing no one can ever really grasp is the impact students have on teachers. Teachers are gifts from God. I am blown away at the fact that I could have this opportunity to experience this feeling. Walking into that building—as I had a thousand times before—with my head held high, I tried to remember everything I had been taught. Bits and pieces seemed to be slipping through my mind—like grains of sand that escape from someone’s fingers. Amanda. With tears of joy, I cried in her arms as she held me tightly.
