Research Paper On Arcadia

The city of Arcadia is a future city similar in population, density, and complexity as today’s New York City. This city is surrounded by water on two sides. It is located on the east coast of the United States. The north and west end of the city are on the coast. The climate has four seasons but cold, snowy winters are uncommon given the increase in global warming. The demands for increased self-service and automation in everyday life continues to drive demand for power exponentially. Quality of life is good in Arcadia, it clean and driven by reuse, recycling which ultimately reduces waste. The focus of our future city is driving new waste management alternatives and creating clean power alternatives that meet the demand of the citizens. We have come up with new technology to help sustain our city, so that people can live safely with the essentials they need while reducing negative impact on the environment and reducing the carbon footprint. Our city is divided into organized sectors: Industrial sector, commercial sector, northern and southern residential, Power source sectors and Services sector. Each sector’s efficiency comes from the close proximity to the dense population. However, the sector system is function based, citizens live in a specific areas, and commercial sector is where commerce, shopping, postal services, food services occur. There are two power sectors one that is water based and one that is land based. Hydro powered systems and wind turbine technologies are located close to the coast. The industrial sector is concentrated in a single area as well. The services sector offers the government services, such as emergency services, schools, town halls, and churches exist here. Interconnectivity of the sectors through a mass transportation system is used to move people, and goods both on land, and air. Land is used for green spaces, trails for walking and
