Have you ever thought about where your chicken comes from before you put it on your plate? Have you ever thought about what is being done to them in order for people to be able to eat it? No one ever absolutely understands how the animals are being raised and treated before they become our food. However, I had never thought about this stuff before until I read the uttermost disturbing article and witnessed the horrifying video around how baby chicks get treated in those disgusting factories. I would never have believed what literally happens to those poor chicks and witness the facilities in which they are being raised. Being an animal lover my entire life witnessing such animal cruelty to baby chicks is one of my greatest …show more content…
The article was disturbing enough, yet next the video blew my mind with how inhumane it was. The chicks are being raised as babies with thousands crammed into one room, their beaks burnt off, later they get suffocated in trash bags, and their fur would be plucked off, and then placed into a blender alive. I could not believe this was how Tyson made their food. It was absolutely barbaric and incredibly tough to watch. I was so unbelievably shocked and was in complete surprise as I had no idea that these types of practices were taking place. I wanted it to be less savage and also more humane due to the fact that unhealthy environments for these animals could lead to an unhealthy situation for me. Is it too much to ask for safer and healthier factories for not only baby chicks but for other animals too? With the lack of cleanliness in factories, this article has had me doing research around being vegan. There would be no inhumanity and I would be eating healthier food choices than my usual diet is right now. If everybody became informed about how these animals get treated, people would consider twice before they decide what to put on their plate. Are you aware of the number of lives that could save by having people become further aware of these facts? Tyson and other similar companies should stop and realize what goes on behind those factory doors considering someday they will draw attention to themselves and their practices will be exposed and hopefully they would be
