I was shocked after watching the video “Flying Cheap” because I had no idea these ethical issues existed within airlines. One major ethical issue presented in the video was the safety of the passengers. Only 4,000 inspectors from the FAA are responsible for overseeing the safety of about 25,000 commercial flights in the United States every day. Another ethical issue presented was poor pilot training.…

Because of this, it’s important for an artist to keep the public’s favor. If fans feel like they are being price gouged, they will not want to buy tickets from that artist in the future, essentially stopping an artist’s income. Therefore, in the long run, artists receive more money from the lower prices by aligning their business interests with social interests. They sacrifice a portion of their immediate income potential in order to build long-term relationships…

Air transportation being an increasingly commoditized product, any form of price war would serve to undermine long-term profit dynamics. Acquiring/ merging with other significant players will also serve to concentrate more pricing power into the hands of the major airlines and allow the industry to reach some level of profitability. There are natural issues with this strategy, viz. government interference and the continued existence of low-cost spoilers; however, interference from bureaucrats can be ameliorated through lobbying efforts and low-cost spoilers can be removed through various action if competitive cover is provided in…

The airplane is the safest way to travel; everyone knows this fact. But many people are still scared of flying and are super vigilant during the trip. The shadow of this fear partially comes from the 9/11 attacks, which caused almost 3,000 death and a vast of structures into ruins on September 11, 2001. Four passenger airliners were hijacked by nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists and crashed into buildings as suicide attacks, and the incident made a tremendous fear among the U.S. citizens and the U.S. government. ICE launched a mission to crack down on the smugglers called ‘Operation Coyote’ in June they captured 363 smugglers.…

Also, differentiate services despite the approach of utilizing an innovative pricing method accompanies certain drawbacks. A wider and a constant marketing strategy should be used to entrench the policy of the value pricing policy (Bryan, 2006). One core objective of the value pricing policy begins with simplifying fares. An approach of providing prices into key segments should be put in practice because it will spawn a reduction of CRS costs and increase a better interpretation of ticket charges by the customers. Alternatively, certain limitations set on the discounted cost should be condensed in order to avoid the customers searching for other airline companies offering better rates.…

What aspects of service quality does each approach address well and not so well? A survey approach captures perceptual aspects very well, but misses the finer detail of multiple encounters. The survey approach forces the respondent to give an “average” opinion, based on experience to that point in time. These are very meaningful, but everything might change with the next encounter, news of an air crash, or announcement of financial woes for an airline. Also, each respondent’s “average” opinion carries the same weight whether they are heavy, infrequent or non-users of airline services.…
