Research Paper On Achilles

Achilles is one of the greatest warriors of all times in Greek mythology. He was a demigod popularly known for his brave actions, handsome look, battling skills, and leadership. He is the son of the mortal king Peleus and the goddess of sea Thetis. His mom worries and protection has created his only weakness that was contributed to his death. Since his fate was to become a mighty warrior his mom fears did not stop his fate. His role in the Trojan war, and how he killed Hector made him a very important Greek mythology figure. He also had a loyal loving heart that been shown through his deep friendship with Patroclus and the love that he had for Briseis.

According to Marica when he was only 15 years old he became the leader of the Myrmidons to lead them against Troy along with other allies (“Achilles”). The Trojan war has been going for nine years, and Achilles led one after another and he succeed in all of them (“Achilles”). When Agamemnon took Achilles, girl, Briseis Achilles decide that he will not fight with Agamemnon anymore. When the war came Patroclus disguised as Achilles and went to the war. During the war, Hector the son of the king of Troy killed Patroclus thinking that he is Achilles (“Achilles”). When Achilles knew this news he got so angry and he wanted to kill Hector. Achilles and Hector meet at the gates of Troy, and the fought. Of course, Achilles killed Hector because he was a way more powerful than him. Achilles did not only kill Hector he tortured his dead body as well but he returned it back at the end. Later in the Trojan war Achilles die by the unexpected arrow from Hector's brother Paris. Where Apollo has told him about Achilles heel and how it is his weakness (“Achilles”). Achilles died at Troy still undefeated in the battle and still a mighty warrior. His legends will forever be known, and he will always be an important figure in Greek
