Research Paper On A Sol's Day On Mars

Improved Essays
A Sol is a day on Mars. A Earth day is twenty four hours but a Mars day is twenty four hours thirty nine minutes and thirty five seconds. Since the length of their days are longer that means that their year is longer too. A Earth year is three hundred and sixty five days and a Mars year is six hundred eighty seven days. The formation of the days means the lengthening of the seasons and also seasonal growths. The lengthening of the seasons means that plants or life forms have a different growth pattern than we do on earth. On one clear sol the output averaged seven hundred watt-hours. On a summer day on mars the day would be 95 degrees F (fahrenheit) and then fall to -130 degrees F at night.

Earth rotates on sunny side which we experience day while other side experience night (darkness). This is why Uv rays are much stronger in Summer time because the sun rays are very direct. Not only does Earth do rotations around the sun the other planets do as well!! Neither Earth or create their own sunlight they rely on the sun…

Summary Assignment #1 Sunspot Cycle: A Brief History In 1610, shortly after viewing the sun for the first time through a telescope, Galileo became the first European to observe sunspots, which are visibly darker, cooler areas on the sun. A little over 200 years later (in 1843), amateur German astronomer Samuel Heinrich Schwabe discovered that there is a cyclical, eleven, and by extension to a full cycle, twenty-two year pattern to the variation of sunspot counts known as the sunspot cycle. In 1848, Swiss astronomer Rudolf Wolf devised the following algorithm for making consistent counts of sunspots. [R=10g+f] Where “g” is the number of groups of sunspots and “f” is the number of individual spots.…

After a number of observations, it has been inferred that the planet has been geologically inactive for billions of years.…
